5 Côte-Nord-inspired cocktail recipes

Microbreweries and distilleries are popular on the North Shore, as they are everywhere else in Quebec. Our 4 microbreweries and 2 distilleries are a source of pride for locals and are must-visit destinations for visitors. We offer you 5 cocktail recipes made with local alcohols and terroir products to extend the summer season and to reminisce about your vacation on the Côte-Nord.

 

Road Trip 138 

Ingrédients :

  • 1 can of TRAIL 09 beer (355 ml)
  • 30 ml (1 oz) of haskap or sea buckthorn juice
  • 30 ml (1 oz) of honey
  • 1 sprig of rosemary (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Mix the juice with honey.
  2. In a large glass, pour the chilled beer, the juice and honey mixture, and stir.
  3. Add one or two ice cubes.
  4. Garnish with a sprig of rosemary.

 

 

Uapish-thé 

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 oz of Norkōtié gin
  • 1/4 oz of Triple Sec
  • 1 shot of cold tea
  • 1/2 oz of lemon juice
  • Uapishka beer
  • Strawberry puree

Instructions:

  1. In a glass, mix gin, Triple Sec, cold tea, and lemon juice.
  2. Lengthen with Uapishka.
  3. Decorate with strawberry puree.

 

Rubis Spritz

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz of Rubis Nordique
  • 5 oz of Betchwan Gin
  • Extended with Prosecco and Soda
  • Thyme and lingonberries (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Pour all the ingredients in order into a wine glass filled with ice.
  2. Extend with Prosecco and then soda.
  3. Garnish with lingonberries and thyme.

 

Nao-Springbeer Shandy

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz of Blanche des Forges beer
  • 1 oz of Betchwan gin
  • Lemonade
  • Grenadine
  • 1 slice of orange (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Pour beer and gin into a glass.
  2. Lengthen with a bit of lemonade and grenadine.
  3. Garnish with an orange slice.

 

 

Bitter Love

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 oz of Norkōtié gin
  • 1/2 oz of Amermelade
  • 1 oz of orange juice
  • Baie Cachée beer

Instructions:

  1. In a glass, mix gin, Amermelade, and orange juice.
  2. Lengthen with Baie Cachée.
  3. Decorate with an orange slice.
