MAIN FUNCTION
Under the supervision of the General Manager, the Director of Communications and Marketing ensures the tourism influence of the North Shore! Together with his team, he initiates and manages marketing strategies, promotional campaigns, content strategies, media relations and digital projects. He is also responsible for the implementation of communication tools as well as the destination's brand strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Develop a marketing plan and a communication plan in line with Tourisme Côte-Nord's strategic orientations;
- Develop marketing, communication, content strategies, as well as the production of materials to support these strategies (photos, videos);
- Establish and manage the budgets of the communication and marketing department;
- Design and prepare campaign notes and various presentation materials;
- Guide and lead the conceptualization, deployment and monitoring of promotional campaigns for all of our geographic markets and our various clienteles, while respecting the destination's brand;
- Manage, mobilize and ensure the development of the staff of the Communication and Marketing Department;
- Oversee and track administrative tasks, project monitoring, and deadlines;
- Ensure quality control of deliverables;
- Keep senior management and partners informed of the progress of mandates;
- Support other ministries and stakeholders in their projects and needs, in terms of communications, reception and services to members (guides, brochures, maps, videos, tool kits, etc.);
- Negotiate agreements with suppliers (advertising agency, media, graphic design, etc.) and establish the organization's business partnerships;
- Ensure the various follow-ups with agencies, media and suppliers;
- Determine and analyze performance indicators and measurement tools, in order to make recommendations and optimize the tourism performance of the destination;
- Produce and present recurring reports on the performance of campaigns and the strategies developed for each market;
- Actively collaborate in various round tables with partners, cities and RCMs in the territory, as well as regional and sectoral tourism associations, in order to ensure the cohesion of marketing actions and increase the performance of the destination;
- Ensure the organization's influence with different audiences: members, the tourism industry, political and economic interlocutors, journalists, etc.;
- Provides strategic monitoring of new marketing trends and detects new opportunities.
ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE
- Undergraduate university studies : marketing, communications or equivalent;
- 7 years of relevant experience in a similar position;
- Knowledge of the tourism industry;
- Knowledge and mastery of digital ecosystems;
- Relevant experience in managing a work team, financial management and marketing strategy;
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite : Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams;
- Excellent command of French and English , both oral and written;

PARTICULARITIES RELATED TO THE POSITION
- Possess a valid driver's license and be able to travel as required;
- May be called upon to participate in events, conferences, filming, which may include parties and weekends;
